Salsa night makes a hot start
|
Last weekend saw the start of successful salsa classes in Dingwall and Inverness.
Dancers came from Thurso, Skye, Forres, Elgin, and Edinburgh, as well as the local area, to attend the classes held on Froday and Saturday night and promoted by Salsa North.
There was also a rich mix of cultures, with Polish, Russian, Jamaican, German and French participants mixing with the indigenous host community.
Renowned guest Salsa instructor Michael Pottinger from Birmingham hosted well constructed teaching sessions and, coupled with his ability to lead any lady in the hot Latin rhythms, organisers say it made for an exciting spectacle at both events. And they added that Michael was much in demand by all the ladies.
The combination of teaching and free-style dancing will be repeated on Friday February 24th, at the National Hotel, Dingwall with lesons between 6pm and 8pm from Jermaine and Campbell McCracken.
Call Jermaine on 07803 706842 for more details.
